Hey.
Im buying a 98 se auto 3.5 in a couple of days. I'm purchasing it off an uncle who is the 2nd owner. He bought it with 106000km and it is up to 210000km currently.
To his knowledge during his ownership he hasn't had the timing belt done. It hasn't given any dramas apart from a leaking intake gasket during his ownership and runs like a new motor.
The service history is complete throughout the warranty period with a gap until it was 8 years old and 105,000km. Were dealers back then likely to change the belt at that age? (How long is a piece of string)
Is there a quick way to check if the timing belt has been changed?
Thanks in advance
