3.1 diesel 92 jack - fuel pump

hi, my mate has a 3.1 diesel that has a leaking fuel pump, we are hoping that we can replace it ourselves

has anyone done this

it has the timing chain with it,

any help would be good as were trying to save a few dollars if possible
