New to the fourm suspension lift help

Hey all,

Bought myself a rc Colorado lx 3.0 auto love it so far, just use it for work haven't got out on the dirty yet.

Now im new to the forum so don't tear me a new one if this has been asked a million times but I have looked and found nothing. I've got a few tools in the back so there's abit of weight there and I've only got an inch of travel between the bump stops and rear axel, so I'm going to invest in some bags to bring it back up to around an inch over stock. So in doing that can I just wind up the torsion bars to bring the front up an inch? If so what is a safe amount? (I don't want to loose to much upward travel) Can anyone give me a measurement from wheel to wheel arch stock? And a measurement to a nice safe happy medium?

Appreciate any help in advance
Reece
