so, i am wanting a little more control when 4wding, so i have decided a auto locker from Aussie lockers would suit me perfectly
however i am worried about the install
i have read some pages that say the front CV's have a clip that holds them into the front diff(inside the diff area, apparently like a little c-clip)
and others that say they are like a normal diff and just pull out of the spline easily
so has anyone ever done this, or have they ever had to remove the front CV's from a 1992 jackaroo ?
do you happen to have any pictures if they do have clips, of where it is and how to get to it ?
and the reason i am going with the auto locker is mainly price, as the front diff is only ever engaged when im out on the dirt, mud, sand so having an auto locker wont bother me and the car is a weekend warrior only, its not a every day car
so i cant justify $2000+ dollars for a air locker or even a electronic locker
im just trying to decide whether i should attempt the job myself or pay a mechanic that specialises in diff's to do the works
