Hi everyone, having trouble with detonation with my rodeo. Bought it 12months ago. Have had a series of trouble. It's done 130 000 klms.
Had to replace tank primer pump and filter when detonation first started due to dirty tank,(took off tank emptied and wiped out clean) which i found out later to be algae.
But was still having same problem (detonation) but getting worse. Replaced fuel filter, black with algae, then treated with additive - Chemtech diesel power.
Changed fuel types to caltex premium vortex diesel as I found that I was getting detonation from fuel I purchased elsewhere, seemed to fix the detonation for a while. Checked filter after 2000 klms filter clean and no detonation. That was 5000 klms ago problem has returned, but fuel filter appears spotless.
Can any body help me with this?, It's really stressing me out.
