Hi all,
I hope someone may be able to give some guidence here on my problem.
I have a 2002 diesel Jack and it has run sweet the entire time I have owned it.
It has 146,000 on the clock and I am waiting for the ORPS to give out.
Anyhow, I did a full oil change (5-30) including the filters as well as the fuel filter change as well.
While i was at it, I took off the RPCV to give that a clean.
I put it all together and now have a knocking sound. I also have the engine check light on now too.
It knocks heavly on startup for a few seconds and also at idle wher eit runs slightly rough. Other wise it runs OK.
It is not a bearing. That I am sure.
It sounds like injector pump or that sort of area.
Could it be air in the fuel line?
It has to be associated with the oil / fuel filter change. Or more likely the RPCV work.
Once again, I learn that if its not broken, dont fix it! (I have all the parts for the ORPS renewal ready to go too)
Any help appreciated.
Cheers
Stuart
