I have a 3.0lt TDI 2003 RA Rodeo 4WD with 99000kms.
A couple of months ago the vehicle would suddenly cut out when it reached operating temp, after about 20kms the engine light would come on and it would go into limp mode and you could not drive it until it cooled, after an hour or two.
Then you could drive it for the same distance with it cutting out once again. This has been going on with no change.
I have taken the ute to a diesel mechanic for a service 99000 and he checked the entire engine changing all filters and checking all fluids etc finding no faults.
It has been run on a dyno and the error codes were: fan relay and air con relay.
I have run the car with the air con switched off and I can travel now three times further than before until the ute cuts out and the engine light comes on? No one can seem to help me....any ideas?
Strangely enough before the vehicle cuts out the clutch becomes heavy and will not engage until it is all the way out.
Any ideas will be much appreciated.
