I'm new to the forum and have a 2000 Jackaroo that's been off the road for about 2 months. It ran perfectly for about 10 months after we got it and then one day it just decided it wouldn't start.
After a lot of headaches and research I think we may know what the problem is. I'm looking at getting a new ORPS ($110 on eBay) and a new injector harness. When the old harness was taken apart, the connector plug was full of oil. Service book shows the injector harness was replaced in 2011 as part of the recall. Does anyone out there know where to get a reasonably priced new one? I've done some research tonight and all the ones I can find are expensive.... $280+.
Also need some advice. Do I need to also replace the RPCV?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
