I a still having problems with the jackaroo flat spot. By cleaning the MAP sensor port (tube on manifold) I have improved it slightly. When cold things seem ok but as the engine temp increases the flat spot returns. What I am wondering is the motor has 245000 k on the clock and I have never replaced the throttle position sensor I have inspected the sensor but cannot see anything wrong with it. I can get an after market sensor for about $80 is it worthwhile replacing? I cannot get the ECU to flash any codes unless I disconnect the TPS. Would the ECU flash a code if there was a fault? Or would I need to move the throttle through its travel to generate an error if the TPS is at fault. Sorry for these questions but I can't just commit $$$ on the off chance
