Boost and EGT gauges

First, I want to thank all of you for letting me join your group. 

 Now for my question.

I have a  early 2012 DMax (old style, not the new ones) with the 4JJ1-TC engine. I am thinking of putting a boost and egt gauge in it. I do not tow anything and use it only for transportation (no racing or anything). Do I really need these gauges? I have been researching this and it seems like the responses are split 50-50. What do you think, opinions?

Also if you have these installed, please post up some pictures of where you mounted them and where you mounted the probes.
