Hi, I have a 2007 Holden rodeo diesel ra. 4x4.
Started very intermittently cutting out for no apparent reason with no pattern to when it occurs. Basically cuts out at idle or revs up slightly and on other occasions runs rough for a while.
My mechanic said the engine looked fine and had only recently changed the fuel filter. Anyway he put me on to a reputable auto electrician that pretty much immediately picked up the code for the crank position sensor circuit issue. Replaced sensor and went well until later in day when back to the old tricks. Took back to electrician and checked wiring and no codes showing and car went well for him.
Today vehicle went well with no issues except for pulling into driveway gave a little hickup in revs but no stall.
Electrician suggested next step is to see a diesel fuel system specialist.
I know there are lots of similar posts but anyone got any ideas.
Thanks
Peter
