Shudder & noise after suspension lift?

Hi all, I am hoping someone might be able to help. I replaced all 4 shocks on my RA 3.5 V6 4WD yesterday, wound up the torsion bars 5 full turns and also installed an "Add-a-leaf" kit in the rear at the same time.

I now get a shuddering nosie (like a rumbling thunder in the distance)through the cabin (with a slight vibration?) somewhere between 20-40km/h, then it goes. It appears no matter what gear I'm in (auto tranny).

Not sure if it is relevant, but I had some troubles reinstalling the leaf suspension on my own (too heavy) and the U-bolts seem to be kicking back to the rear ever so slightly - should they be dead straight up & down? I had to cheat and suspend the rear of the leaves from the shackles to take some weight off them while I tried to reinstall the anchor plates & do up the U-Bolt nuts.

I have had a wheel alignment today and the camber was good (within specifications according to the tyre store) but toe in/out needed slight adjustment.

What could this noise/vibration be? Maybe uni-joints not turning at the same angles as before? Could the diff be slightly tilted because of the U-Bolts pointing backwards (I don't recall how they were pointing before). Or could the extra height be causing troubles?

Also, here are the gaps between the top of the rims and the bottom of the guards as I went along if it helps:

Front Left/Right Rear Left/Right

Before mods/hot tyres 297/297 318/317
After mods/cold tyres 328/328 368/374
After mods/hot tyres + 10km 340/345 365/365
After mods/hot tyres + 25km 338/340 370/367
+ 40 kms & wheel alignment 338/338 372/368

Can someone help? Or is it nothing to be worried about.

Thanks

Michael
