Bellhousing bolts?

Hi all,

I've just been giving my new (new to me, at least) 99 tf  rodeo a once over and have come across a couple of empty bolt holes going from the bellhousing to the engine (pics attached)

Am I right in thinking there should be some bolts in them? If so, any idea what size and gauge?
