Hi all, this is my first post so please bear with me. I have a 99 Jackaroo SE TD which was running rough with low power earlier in the year. Diesel in coolant. Holden at Pennant Hills Syd diagnosed a cracked cylindar head. I got the car back to my place and over the last 6 months have replaced the cylinder head with the help of my brother, who used to be an engine reconditioner. New sleeves and o rings, old injectors with new o rings and copper washer. New ORPS, new wiring loom, new TPS. Fual tank drained and new 5/40 penrite oil. New fuel filter. The car started up which was a great relief but the engine was still running rough. I took the car into an auto elec at Alexandria who diagnosed No 3 injector faulty. On the way home the Jack just died on me and would not re-start. Had it towed back to my place.
I have now replaced the No 3 injector. Removed the fuel filter, with lots of funk coming out. Vehicle will crank over but not start. Drained fuel tank again and put new fuel in. Pumped the primer with fuel coming out. Put the hoses on correctly.Removed and cleaned the RPCV. Replaced both oil filters. Checked fuses, the glow plug one was blown and i replaced it. Symptoms at present - Low oil pressure on dash but it does rise to a quarter on the gauge. Removed the fuel return line and pumped the primer with no fuel coming out. Cranked the engine with no fuel coming out. I have cranked the engine for quite a few mins with no start. When the car died their were no strange noises and I was low on fuel. I checked fault codes with a paperclip. Only 1 for egr which had been there for a while. I have cut the white wire and checked the fault codes, with new ones coming up which I can post. I think I know what is wrong, the engine is not getting fuel. I'm taking a lot of flack from the missus so any assistance would be great. Thanks for reading. Daniel.
