Gidday fellow 4JX1 owners,
After a fairly hairy and bumpy 4WD trip I have developed a diesel leak some where in the engine bay.
Symptoms:
Strong diesel odour
Dead spots on lawn from diesel leak
Have trouble starting after car has been idle for a couple of days ( air in fuel system?)
Runs like an injector is on the way out.
Last trip towing a boat had to get the RPM up to keep running as it was very rough at low RPM sometimes stalling
Fuel economy doesn't appear to be abnormal.
Where should I look first?
