Hi all,
Just after a bit of advice about the flywheel timing (crank angle sensor). I have just had a failure on the gearbox (stuck in reverse) and while the gearbox was out I asked them to change the clutch and flywheel (have had them for about 18 months and never got a chance to put them in). All parts were original Holden.
When I got the vehicle back, it now has a vibration under load at low revs, and seems to smoke a bit. Also looks to be idling a bit fast. Runs OK once at speed and crusing.
The question is: Can the flywheel be placed one position to the left or right of where it should be and the engine still start? I have read on the forum about the crank angle sensor causing problems when flywheels have been changed, and want to know if I should be asking for the gearbox to come off again to check.
I did ask the mechanic to make sure the new flywheel was set right and to check the timing marks etc.
Any comments welcome.
