So, sleeves done!! gently, slowly, safely, with all seals lubed up with vaseline, the coolant is remaining diesel free!!
but.. yea. Injectors are obviously dirty/blocked, as its still missing the point like a politician.
I did clean them with solvent to get the carbon off, and didnt touch the pintle with anything abrasive, but by the lack of power and the shuddering, its clear that im still on 3 or maybe even 2 and a half injectors, the water contaminated fuel, and then me bypassing the filter to get us home has probably clogged something.
SO!
I'm good with my hands, have plenty of hand tools, and bright lights and whatnot, i am keen on discovering IF or SHOULD, or even if i CAN pull the injectors apart, after thoroughly marking all distance/threads, unscrew the bottom of the injector of and clean it somehow.
Perhaps even if i should just soak the pintles in something that dissolves carbon?
If this is a terrible idea, and from what i have read, it is, as you need a flowbench to tune them back in, where in brisbane would anyone recommend me to take my 4 dodgy injectors, named alpha, bravo, charlie and "oh ###### this one has a broken coil" and have them check/clean and/or recondition said injectors?
I know its not an easy job, but i was hoping that perhaps just getting the pintles unblocked would get the jack up and running decently until i could afford to get 4 brand new ones, to match the new injector seals, sleeve seals, clutch, brakes, brake disks, flywheel, and water pump.
So a call out, anyone had experience? done it and regretted it? done it and gone "well that was easier then changing the station on the radio" or gone the other way and thought "well, its time i drank myself into a stupor, and set fire to the 4wd, the garage, the house, and go and lay in a gutter for a while"
