I am looking at upgrading my 03 RA space cab to a dual cab re recent family expansion.
Called into the local Holden dealer to see what they had. They had a RC LX 08 diesel Colarado, 4WD, 105 Kms, steel tray $23990.
I thought that the ute looked familiar and it was previously owned by a farmer in my district. I rang him and he said he traded it in on a BT50 as he found it too quick in the paddocks. He also mentioned that he hit a Kangaroo and bent the sump. Subsequently no oil to the motor and blew it up. The insurance company put a wrecked 2WD motor in and apparently they had to take the 2WD sump off and replace with the 4WD. The old owner found this a bit odd and he received some advice to get rid of it. Although he did another 15K with no problems.
Any thoughts.
As a side laugh the lady sales consultant took mine for a drive. (Problems in this thread explained) http://forum.australia4wd.com/index.php?/topic/26786-6ve1-running-rough-after-150k-timing-belt-replacement/
She took it for a test drive and afterwared she stopped in their drive way the engine started sounding like a diesel and the timing belt about to bend all the valves. I rang the mechanic in the thread above and they came for a look. It turns out that all the racket/noise was the incorrectly reinstalled plastic fan shroud being hit by the fan. If I didnt laught I would go crazy.
