Last week the faithful old jack of 13 years 265 000 km had a dummy spit.
At first it started being hard to start on cold mornings, but once running would be ok and run well.
Starting was easy when warm and starts later in the day just after lunch after sitting for 6 hrs were good.
Then morning and mid arvo starts became difficult with numerous attempts to start before coughing into life.
Sometimes there was the occasional hick up during running but not many or for long periods.
After reading some posts I removed and cleaned the RPCV with the hope of fixing the problems.
Test drive went well and the next cold morn start was good, however later that day, the early arvo start required lots of cranking before coughing into life. However when running all is good with full power and a smooth idle.
The vehicle is serviced regularly with correct oils and generally well maintained. No fault codes are flashing on the dash. Looking through previous post I see that it could be numerous things from sensors to valves near the main oil filter, or a host of other things ??
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated,
