Hi guys, I was taking my jack out today and all of a sudden I could hear the turbo quite clearly and pretty loud. I started heading home (20 odd km away) and the power basically disappeared. at this stage the turbo was loud as hell, didn't sound rough, just loud. I was about 3km from home hobbling around at 60kph and all of a sudden the power came back.
I got it home ok had a quick look at what I could get to but everything looked ok.
the guy I got it off about a month ago said the turbo is under 100,000km old, has new injectors at the same time and has done all the recalls. its a 2000 3L Tdi Manual.
if anyone can shed some light into what it may be can you let me know. as well as how much it might cost to fix, thanks.
