PART PRICES ---- A SCAM

For those regular readers, My ongoing issue has hopefully been put down to the ORPS. I am going to replace the Wire Harness and Rocker Cover Gasket at the same time.

These are the average prices (as every Holden Dealer was different) for the 3 parts. I hope you are sitting down.

1. ORPS ------ $320.00
2. Wire Harness ----  $350.00
3. Gasket ------ $81.00

So I contacted Ibrahim in Dubai and received his quote which you can find attached. The Harness is not in stock unfortunately so it will take a while as I have the 2003 model, which changed over harness's in dec 2002. His customer service has been awesome, no matter the stupid question, always a polite prompt answer.

As this is a common issue with the cars, I thought the quote might be worth PINNING for future reference.

Thanks again guys for previous responses and help with the issues. I will let you know how the new sensor goes. Although in saying that, there is a huge hail storm expected this afternoon for Newcastle and I may have to leave the car parked in a very exposed area.
