I have recently purchased a 2007 holden rodeo single cab 3.6l (hfv6 euro3) 2wd. It is the model with black plastic bumpers but power windows, mirrors and cruise control.
The ute has a alloy tray (rattla as I like to call it) and a tjm bullbar. Was used for a mining subcontractor so has had full service history from holden dealers etc and seems to be in good condition.
I would have loved to buy a 3ltdi 4wd but the financial situation said otherwise.
However, there are a few small issues that I would like to fix.
1. All window wiper settings work but on the intermittent setting, you have the choice of setting the delay between wipes. This feature does not seem to be working and no matter where the dial sits, the delay is always the same. I use to have a 05 rodeo and the difference in delay was really noticeable so I am sure that it is not working.
2. The factory aerial has been snapped. Is there any way to fix this without replacing the whole unit (cable and base) with an aftermarket one. The ones at supacheap don't look the part. There is currently a cb radio antenna on the bullbar. Is there any way to use this as the stereo pickup? (I have no idea about cb radios if you haven't guessed it. Just know how to use them)
3. I would like to bolt a new tray to the back. The current one is ok but rattles and drives me nuts. I'm after some recommendations for good steel or alloy tray manufacturers. I have had a quick surf on the net and come across tjm trays and really like the look of them. Something cost effective. I can't afford a 6g michell from tamworth lol
If anyone could help out with those questions I would greatly appreciate it.
