G'day all, I'm new to this forum and relatively new to 4wding having bought a 2011 Colorado 6 months ago. After a few 4wd/camping trips I've already put a wicked dent in my sump on a creek crossing and just booked it into ARB for a suspension lift and new under-body protection.
My intent is to improve my ground clearance and allow space for larger tyres such as a 265/75/16, which I'm under the impression improves performance off road and gives greater ground clearance.
Just wondering if anyone out there has any tips for young players with regard to these upgrades? I read on one thread that the Colorado comes with a 2" lift out of the factory? Does that mean new suspension isn't going to lift it any further and I'm wasting my dough?
Also considering a diesel chip, winch, and a long range tank. Any advice/warnings about these mods are welcome too!
