Hi All,
We have a 1995 Jackaroo 3.2 V6 and its been fine for the 4 years we have had it.
We recently noticed the aircon was not as cool as it used to be and I said to the wife "we should get it regassed"
the very next day she started the aircon and the blower was going but no light on the aircon button, no change to the revs and no cool air.........!!!
I checked the fusebox in the engine bay and the 7.5a fuse had blown.
I replaced the fuse and then tried again.......the aircon started but no light on the button again, then the fuse blew when I turned it off and then on again.......Now it just blows a fuse as soon as you tuen it on.
The fan/blowers still work but no cool air.
I took it to an Aircon place to be told I need to take it to an Auto Elec and bring it back when its working and they can check if it needs regassed.
If you plug power into the compressor lead then it works just fine so I wonder if there is a short or its due to it being out of gas ?
I took it to an auto elec up the road who wouldnt touch the Jackaroo with a barge pole.......its happend before too......
So Im unsure what to do, Ive read on here about it wont work if the gas is too low but not sure if thats the problem with mine or not.
Any ideas.....we are in melbourne so any good auto elecs you can recomend would be good
Cheers
