Can anyone help us, please please please. We have a problem with our Jackaroo missing /splutting when driving slow in 1st or 2nd gear or backing off the accelerator. It started about 3 weeks ago, had a service done on the car last week (changed fuel filter, oil filters and air filter). Drove car home (20klms) went to start it next day and it would not start though it would crank over ok. Taken back to garage on Monday and have had the alternator replace (showed up faulty on scanning tool.) Also a lighter oil was put into it. The car will now start but it is still missing at low speeds and at idle. Mechanic does not know what else to suggest and has advised us to take it to a specialist diesel mechanic. Preferably someone that knows the Jackaroo motor. Any suggestions on what could be the matter and can anyone recommend a mechanic in the sourth Burnett region.

Update... Have rung around to try a find a mechanic who will work on the Jackaroo. 4JX1 motor no luck no one wants to know. Local mechanic has now taken out the computer to have that checked. Will know next week if anthing shows up. So if anyone can suggest anything it would be greatly appreciated.
