Hi all, had a bit of a nightmare weekend. Jacks been running fine, parked it Thursday night all good, jumped in to go to work Friday, started then died did that 3 or 4 times then nothing. Stole the wifes car & went to work. Started when I got home Jack still starting, run for about 5 secs. then stop first thought was fuel checked everything all ok. Next was orps cut the white wire still no go. Long story short tried every thing I could think of even pulled out the oil rail control valve. Mid afternoon Sunday decided last thing left was to replace the orps (clutching at straws) had a spare 1 here. Came to undo the oil pipe at tappet cover some oil came out followed by air, that was when the penny dropped. Added about a litre of oil & away it went like nothing had happened, pulled the sump off this afternoon & the short pickup pipe is laying
in the bottom. Was very happy to see that. Also pulled the pipe off for the lube pump & it's cracked about three quarters through, that was lucky. So a bit of welding & 2 new seals all should be good for a while I was thinking it'd be a tow to Holden & remortgage the house.
