Hi guys,
Just got back from a quick 500km round trip. When I got home and got out of the car, i could hear a knocking sound from the motor. lifted the bonnet and had a listen, could not pinpoint it but sounded like it was coming from the front of the motor somewhere.
First time the car has had a run of that distance for over 12 months and never heard it before. Most of the time it used to get me to and from work and probably 100km trips at the most.
Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem or if anyone has any ideas as to what it might be.
It's a '99 Frontera, 3.2V6 5 speed manual. 220k on the clock.
