The mighty Jack has been off the road for long enough, and Brock is mouldy and smelly...

The mighty Jack blew his 4L30e last year in August, and has been sitting since... with the intent of putting my 4JG2 + AW 40-30 auto box in it (100,000km's on the clock) - this may still go ahead in the future, but for now... Brock is the donor

The Mighty Jack is a 1998 3.5L petrol Auto.. 6VE1 with the 4L30e 210,000km's - although it is cheap to replace the auto box, I don't want to fix it. I don't want petrol.

Brock is a 1994 3.1L diesel Manual.. 4JG2 with the MUA5 220,000km's

Brock is currently my daily, and The Mighty Jack is off the road, so, we are unbolting Jack first to inconvenience me the least.

I intend on relocating the Oil filters, fuel filter and coolant overflow to the passenger corner of the engine bay, where the cruise control? is located in some vehicles. - Should make life easier and less grubby come servicing.

I will update this as we progress, photos will be added when I can
Work shall be done on weekends.

To kick it off.

- Parked them side by side to compare the engine bays, and compare mounting points, firewall holes etc...
> The Manual and Auto have different crossmember positions - the manual being in line with the body mounts, the auto being 100mm back.
>> To rectify this, we will cut the crossmember off Brock and bolt it to Jack. 1 bolt hole is already available, it shall be mounted however the engineer approves of. I suspect U-bolting around the chassis rail.
>>> The clutch is a simple fix, the hole is already there with a plate covering it - just unbolt the plate :D

- removed: battery, plastic engine cover, all electrical to engine and auto box, unplugged harness to cabin, air intake plumbing, a bunch of dodgy wiring from my apprentice years :P
