2001 Jackaroo SE V6 Auto Trans Problem

Hi All,

Thought I would ask before spending a few K on a new gearbox!

Recently the auto started to slip from 2nd to 3rd, had it booked in for a service and 2 days before have lost all gears over the period of a few hours.

Thought maybe low fluid but 'mechanic' reakons it has fluid, anyone other ideas?

I have been told by a non auto mechanic it requires a new box, for the sake of spending 2k on a replacement auto, it maybe a better option to purchase a new car.
