Sensor Loom Wiring Diagram and rubbing point infront of battery.

Hey Guys - everyone is so helpful here its about time I gave back a little bit.

Long Story short:

My Issue : DTC 31 and 37 EGR vsv and EGR EVRV - no vacuum to EGR.

Consequence of this issue: Check Engine Light, no EGR, no power to throttle motor, vsv or evrv.

Problem: Wiring loom between fuse box and row of connectors infront of starter battery rubbing on chassis in factory position- paint rubbed off so light rusting, rusting causes harsher abrasion which cut through one wire and damaged 3 others. (see photos 1 and 2)

Note: There is no tape or plastic around the wires at this point, and their factory position is in a recess on the front of the vehicle where they can rub.

Solution: Solder wires back together, shrink wrap and tape, remove holding fasteners which were holding the wires in place against the chassis.

I would recommend to everyone next time you are at the starter battery to have a quick look and see if the loom is touching the chassis, and if it is, pop the battery out and check for any damage.

While I was diagnosing the issue, I made a map of all the connectors on the female sensor side green 'all weather' connector above the starter motor.
This connects to the:
-Cam Position Sensor
-A/c
-Egr vsv
-Coolant Temp
-Map sensor
-(assumed) dash temp gauge
-RPCV
-Egr evrv

Hopefully its useful to somebody smile.png

Let me know if anything doesn't make sense - now onto fixing everything else.
