Water Leak

Driving home Thursday night I noticed steam coming from under the bonnet (temperature gauge in the red).  Once I stopped and lifted the bonnet there was a lot of hissing coming from under the throttle body.  Couldn't see anything steam or water by the light of my mobile phone.  Wifey delivered 10 litres of water for the drive home.  Scan gauge showed water temperature never went over 115.

I pulled the common chamber and the intake manifold off yesterday.  Large puddle of water sitting under it.  What a motherf'ker rick of a design.  What 2 cent engineer would put the thermostat under the intake manifold.    No obvious splits in the hoses but decided I'll replace the thermostat and the two water hoses under the manifold while I was here

I have ordered intake manifold and common chamber gaskets, plus 2 x "by pass" hoses - the only hoses in the supercheap catalogue that are not radiator or heater hoses.

So my questions are:

1) do i need to replace the injector O rings (as per service manual recommendation)  Had to take the fuel rail off to get the intake manifold off.

2) where do i buy them (neither repco or supercheap list them)

3) any other recommendations or suggestions of things to check while I have it apart.

The common chamber and the intake manifold are coated in burnt oil but I've read this is normal.

As a side note, I find it interesting that there is NO mention or diagram of the intake manifold in my service manual.
