Where do I mount that UHF radio??

There are not a lot of places in cars these days suitable for the mounting of a UHF CB radio....if you have a LT model Rodeo you might like to consider this..the LT models have a roof mounted cluster containing a pair of map reading lights, this cluster is a snap in fitting and when removed it allows access to a ceiling rib and metal support, by inserting an aluminium bar across this support this location can make a great place for the radio....the cables can be run under the ceiling material and down the plastic moulding to the firewall and hence to the battery.....note that you should not use the wiring that is there for the map lights, it is too small...the antenna lead can also be fed to the antenna in the same way.
You will see in the attached photos that I use a magnetic mount for the handpiece, this is preferable to a mounting clip as it allows the mic to be position without taking your eyes off the road....any queries, please dont hesitate to contact me via PM.
