Hi Everyone,
I would like to start by saying thank you to all of you who have posted some very helpful and informative information in this forum.
I have a 1998 Jackaroo which I bought a couple of months ago with this intention of fixing it up, and then doing some trips with the family. I have carried out the following work:
New ORPS
New TPS
Penrite HP5
Nippon filters from Sydney Filter Service (Fuel, Oil, HP Oil)
Dismatled and cleaned the RPCV
All valve clearances adjusted to spec
New injector seals
New timing belt and water pump
Oil pickups checked and new seals
Recall done by Holden
New glow plugs
Tested glow plug circuit
Non return valve fitted to fuel line prior to fuel filter
Unfortunately I still have a starting problem. If it's cold or has been sitting for 15min it takes a good 6-7 sec of cranking to start. If I start it, turn it off and them immediately start it again it fires up after 2 sec of cranking. After all the work I have done I can only think that either fuel or HP oil is somehow bleeding off whilst is is sitting? I haven't plugged it into a Tech 2 yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
