hello
I'm pretty new to the forum and feel bad about asking for help without having offered anything yet but I need some advice, hope someone can help.
I am trying to replace the OUTER cv joints in my 2000 Rodeo.
I have got as far as removing the ball joints etc. and have removed the boot and cleaned out all the grease.
I understand that the joint is held to the shaft with a circlip but I can't see it to remove it.
I looked at a youtube video and it looks like I now need to remove the WHOLE shaft and the inner and outer cv's to remove the circlip.
Has anybody found an easier way?
is it possible to remove the circlip and replace the outer joint without pulling the axle out?
Really appreciate any help you can offer
I don't have a garage or great tools and stuff so working on the ground and trying to avoid having to do even more of a major than I have so far.
Thanks again
M
