Bullbar fitting

Just got an ECB bullbar for my Fronty, has anyone installed a bullbar themselves and had any dramas. I tried mine but as I have a limited selesction of tools was having dramas getting it level. Almost looks like the brackets that bolt to the chassis need to be hit with a grinder to clear, and also looks like the bracket and bar slots need lengthening as well.

Any hints would be appreciated.
